Freedom of Speech: the ability to express opinions without restraint or censorship
Free Speech Zone: an area on campus where college students are allowed to speak freely… and can sometimes be as small as a picnic table
Wait a second, if the constitution affirms free speech for all Americans, how are public colleges and universities allowed to restrict it to only one small area of campus?
The answer: They can’t!
It’s never too late to take a stand for something you believe is wrong, even if it’s the end of the school year.
